Late 80's swirl port heads 302/714's
If I had to pick, I'd pick the water heated intake long before I picked an exhaust heated intake.
I've seen a 460 turn cast iron blue at the exhaust crossover. That tells you how hot that exhaust is going under the carb.
And as a carb tuner, it took me awhile to figure that one out. 1985. Last year ford put a carb on a truck. What a piece of crap that was. Water heating would have been an order of magnitude better.
Blocking the heat off was a magic deal. Made it a totally different animal.
