New 1964 owner with many questions

The GM parts are better than the ones Mopar used. Mopar EI was first and GM's was better. I am too lazy to find the link but I bet SSD will add it if he replies again. What is even worse on the Mopar EI is that the units are now China built and unreliable.

If it hurts to put GM in the car you could always hide the module inside of a gutted mopar ecu, I've seen a few done that way.

On my car I wanted it to look period correct so I just used the Pertronix 2 module and a matching coil. If you are unwilling to go the GM HEI route the Pertronix is the next best option (and a little easier as no wiring to deal with other than ballast and you can use a points dist.).
