how do you feel about electric performance cars?

When they give electric away for free and the cars have some serious travel time I would think about it. Here on Long Island we have the highest electric rates. Our gas is cheaper than out west, but thanks to the Hoover Dam their electric is cheaper. Let them out west drive electric, because between smog and high gas prices their better off. I wonder how electricity is made in the rest of the Country? Probably burning some type of fuel. Are these people so naive about electric cars?
