Well, it was the guy at the dealer who sold the car that said, "we have put a new alternator in it". But, I realize that is what have happened, they have not had a clue. Same guy told me how nice the engine was running, with like 0.040 - 0.065 in valve clearance.
Well, I will look to see if I can find a repairable round back core from late 1964 at some point. I need to go to that scrap yard for other stuff anyway.
