So I picked up some parts and in the lot was this valve body. Doesn’t appear been installed after turbo action modified it. I’m looking on their website and can’t find anything about it. I’ve attached some pics. Hoping someone can help me out. I’ll probably call them tomorrow but maybe someone will know based on the pics.

It's an older trans brake rmvb. I used to have one like it.

That you'll have to ask TA about. I'd say probably not.

You gotta part number. Call Turbo Action.

Dont think it has low band applied...used to have one....too slow...lol

17998 is the part number....-7 is the modification number...and 010124 is the serial number....made in 2001...124 unit made that year....

These TA valve bodies do not have low band applied.

I spoke to ta today, and this was the latest version in the 17998 valve body, talking to the tech it’s a good one to use, sounds like main difference from what they use now is location of the solenoid. The solenoid they use now will work in this older vb. No low band apply due to shift overlap. My car is for street/strip and drag week. Ta just gave me advise about driving it. What to do and not to. I need to read instructions not sure if will work for a 1970 case. Need to look at the pn to be over 35xxxx. Not sure why won’t work for 70.

the 35xxxxx case number is a change in the front servo....

I just read instructions for the 70 don’t need to do anything but the 35xxx need to plug the hole for accumulator. Unfortunately I done have the accumulator piston blocker or rear servo shim. Any ideas what diameter and length those need to be? Otherwise looks pretty straight forward. Just not sure if should go with lba or not.

Anyone have any idea how long the shim is that goes over the piston plug for the brake and reverse servo? From what I can figure out the accumulator piston rod should be 3". Not sure about the shim. I am missing those from the kit. I think once I figure that out I can pop it all together once I get a new filter and pan gasket.

There is a solid billet rear servo kit available.

Typically, the rear servo piston shim dimensions are:

OD = 0.750"
ID = 0.504"
THK = 0.284"

Mentioned before, some use various thickness flat washers to fill the gap. Just make sure the washer that sits next to the plug has a large enough ID so it will not interfere with the radius cut. If you have a lathe, you can make a shim easily. Might need a new snap ring that retains the plug shaft. Sometimes if they are spread too far they lose their shape.

The accumulator blocker rod is typically 0.500" dia and length is just under 3", maybe around 2.956". Double check to make sure the valve body sits flush with the blocker rod installed before torquing valve body bolts. If it sits up a little, reduce the length a little until it sits flush.

Hope that helps. John
