13.3's to 11.8's to Forget it...
Yes I am. Easier and cheaper for him especially with what he had.
I won't say it's not, but I would like to hear how... I have a 360, only reason I will use it over a 440 is I don't want to have to buy new mounts. But I will say this, I would like to believe he could pick up a 440/trans for around $500, spool type mounts to put it in for ~$100, port the heads a little, maybe mill them a smidge, little bigger cam, and be in the neighborhood of power and torque. Shorten driveshaft, probably be able to get away with the exhaust manifold, so no need for high dollar headers. With the 360, my opinion he will need different pistons, converter, which that one could go either way on a big block too, a cam that will need to be probably pushing the limits of street friendly, hopefully not, but possibly heads, single plane intake, deeper than what he is wanting gears. Doable with a 360? Yeah, within his parameters? Maybe... 440? Pretty much easy peasy.
