Turn Signal Cancel Cam

-
Looks like a repackaged HELP unit. I tried one on my 69 without success but it may have been wrong year application. Looks the same though.
I just ordered a whole new repop switch from Slant6dan.

Has anyone ever used one of these aftermarket turn signal canceling cams? Are they junk?

My cam is broken on my 66 Dart and I'd rather not have to replace the whole switch, as the wiring and rest of the switch is in great shape.
I replaced just the canceling cam in my 66 15 years ago. It still works perfect. Long enough ago I can't remember where I bought it from. Probably Laysons.

I have to think the contacts in your 50+ year old switch are worn.
Because of how these classics are wired/lighted, a failed signal switch can/will disable brake lights. If not for that factor I might try a cheap fix.

My guess is that it will work when the problem is mechanical.
I'm pretty sure I saved the one I took out of my car years ago. If so, I'll post some photos 'cause I *think* that is the part that failed.

Yes the tips of my cam were broken off. The new cam fixed the issue. The switch worked perfect electrically.

Thanks guys. My switch works perfectly electrically. One of the arms has simply broken off disabling the canceling function. Unlike the 67-later switches, the early ones (at least mine) do not have any electrical contacts riveted onto the cam.

I used dans complete unit works great. Those add on cancel cams are junk. I tried to use one and it was garbage.

Do a google search for danielsternlighting.com. I think that is the website. I got his part about two years back and couldn't be happier.
