I swear the battery in my SRT dies just about every 4 years like clock-work. Today I went to start it and it only had 11.1 volts. I still got it started, but I know it's time for a new battery since the last time I last drove it was a week ago and it was fully charged. Charging system is fine.
The car is now over 13 years old and the last battery was around 4.5 years ago in late June of 2015.
The original battery died 49 months after it was new. The second battery died 51 months later. This one has lasted 52 months and is ready to die. Funny how a 48 month battery dies almost exactly on schedule.
Run and start duty doesn’t seem to matter. The car saw 40k miles in the first 2 years and only 10k miles in the past 2 years.
I suppose I will replace it and be good to 2024.
