So been texting back and forth today with the actual Previous owner of the Polara . He’d parked it in 2001 and given it to his brother who eventually sold it to me.

Apparently the original engine was rebuilt over the winter of 98/99. Full rebuild, new crank, line hone , heads got slightly larger valves and comp cams valve springs. Block was square decked, but not to zero. I may have to put that sucker back in! Cam is original though.

Parked after reverse gear went out in the trans and it’d caught fire.
WTF would ANY one use the original part that gets the most wear in an Engine? After spending good money to build it right. The camshaft!! :realcrazy:
