It's the rpm drop between the gears that kind of sucks, but for what I use the truck for it's fine.

I'm not sure what gear is in my 9 1/4 (the tag is gone) but first is fairly short and I find myself shifting between 2nd and 3rd a lot. Maybe not a lot but more than I care to.
