run the 12V wire to the coil with resistor in it .. for points? I know the regular Chrysler electronic ignition needs the ECU box. I love to run points, and carry a new set of blue streak in the glove box.
I like points, too. If my 75 Ford had come with them, it would have a point distributor in it. Yes, just take the 12V source that goes to the distributor NOW, run it through a ballast and to the coil and then the distributor. I would make sure that 12V source IS a 12V source if you know what I mean.
I'm not understanding completely, I don't think. Why is the "black box" even there anymore if what it controlled is gone?
