Yeah, we’ve butchered hogs, cattle and chickens. The occasional goat . Lots of rabbits deer and squirrels too. You respect those animals for giving up their lives to be food but you don’t get emotional about it. Probably the biggest difference between city folk and farm kids.
Or those that understand the difference between animals raised or hunted for food and pets that we take responsibility for as living beings and members of our family.
