. they were fitted with the 2.02 and mild bowel and very lite port blending . These were new bear heads . These heads never came on a car they are w2 style exhaust ports and flow much better than j and x heads , they replaced the 308 heads. just need to clean the gasket surface and bolt them up . some oil carbon from my low tension piston ring in chamber not from the heads. $1,000.00 plus shipping wich i wood guess to be about $100 to ship the pair Fed X.

I Would have to go back and find the article , but it was saying that the port was w2 style do to the floor and roof of the port not the exit shape, but i could be wrong as i am old .

I remember these being sold as a "swirl port" head compared to the 308 heads. I have a set on my car. They stopped making them around the time the edelbrocks came out.
I never heard them compared to the W2.

These are essentially 308s without the smog pump provisions. A few were apparently sold with T/A pushrod hole placement. The exhaust short and long turn radius were inspired by/more similar to W2 than other LA heads but not W2 ports by a long shot. The designer had other improvements in the prototype 308 heads but only the exhaust side made it into production. The "swirl port" is actually a happy side effect of the pushrod pinch required for the huge pushrod holes for the factory roller cam blocks. Good heads, with some good valvetrain parts added by seller.
