Efi tunnel ram ????

trouble with efi that far away from the valves it that some fuel is going to fall out of suspension. TBI is superior to carbs any day for the week as it is a consistant atomization no matter what the manifold vacuum/velocity across the discharge venturis is (carb dynamics) but it runs into the same carb issues: cold intake, icing, distribution issues, etc. Its just the nature of a wet intake. If you were to put the injectors at the base of the intake as the IR runner setup, ie as close as possible and not at the top, you could drastically reduce these factors. Sure F1 fogs their intakes (injectors very high in the IR tract) but they always run in the higher powerbands and the velocity is always there. Heck, they idle at at about 2K. A kegger intake off a RAM is very close to a STR in its design, long runners with a straight(er) entry into the ports, except its dry. The STR intakes had major issues with fuel distribution, puddling, etc. so much so as to create a TSB on modding them to make them work better, the published "popsicle stick" mod. You could hide the injectors inboard Enderle 'pill' style but would still need a mechanism that would allow MAP to be read for metering, maybe a small common plenum at base of runners, like a NOS line?
Bottom line is FI is superior for driveablilty over a carb, just which design you want to invest in.
