Carburetor Question - Is this a good call?

Dam...This is all so unnecessary. Hardware store, grinding bolts, adapter plates, Mcmaster car drawings, vacuum leaks, gas leaks,Speedway Motors, Allen head cap screws. On and on. It really is mind numbing, and frankly embarrassing how difficult this is being made.
