Pitfalls and Perspectives of "Hiring" a 27 year-old Young Lady

Now that I have shown the rookie girl all the "ropes" around here, I decided to have a little fun.

She was gathering up some leaves in the yard with a pretty much wasted-away straw broom. I walked over to her and asked if she knew how to drive a broom? (I meant like a witch rides one on Halloween) She looked at me kinda funny, perplexed to think that I was about to introduce her to some broom handling tips, of all things.

Of course, after I explained the joke to her, she admitted she thought I noticed that she was using the broom wrongly and that I was going to show her a better way. We both kinda laughed about that little misunderstanding/mis-interpretation.

I then followed up by asking her if she had ever dressed as a witch for Halloween? She answered in the positive, so I asked if a broom was part of the costume? She said no, just the hat and the black dress.

During the walk around the block with the dogs, I asked her if she had any tattoos. Nope.

I asked her if she had ever snuck out of the house. She said no, her parents were very strict. I proceeded to explain to her how my little sister and step-daughter both eventually got caught sneaking out at night.
