My First Mopar- 1966 Barracuda project

Looks like you've got a nice start on a pretty clean Barracuda. You may know already, but run the flex plate that is already bolted to the back of the 5.9 You will need to egg shape one converter to flex plate hole on that flex plate for your 727 converter to bolt up. Take the flex plate off the motor and hold it up to the converter, and you will see what it needs. Also, if the converter has weights welded on it by the drain plug....either knock them off or swap it for a rebuilt converter with neutral balance. If it has no weights, it is a neutral balance converter already, and you're good to go. I love your Firebird! Did the 200-4R have the BPO pattern, or did you have to use an adapter? I want to put a 200-4R in my wifes 77 Trans Am to replace the Turbo 350, is why I ask. It's a 400 Pontiac motor, but will be beefed up a good bit from the anemic 77 version....lol.
