My First Mopar- 1966 Barracuda project

You may know already, but run the flex plate that is already bolted to the back of the 5.9...need to egg shape one converter to flex plate hole... if the converter has weights welded on it by the drain plug....either knock them off...

I love your Firebird! Did the 200-4R have the BPO pattern, or did you have to use an adapter?

All of the above. I was aware and still have to knock off the torque converter weights. I appreciate all the information from everyone, very helpful and welcomed.

Thanks for compliments! I actually built a ‘77 W72 with 6x-4 heads (decked, bored 30 over, Harland Sharp rockers, forged pistons, XE262H cam...) and stuck it in my ‘68 Firebird. The 200-4R had a dual Chevy/BOP housing. I have a lockup converter and 3.55 gears, 2400 rpm at 70-75mph.
