WIX 51335 Oil Filter

Here ya go with some filter data for this small filter:

• Bypass valve setting 8-11 psi, just like the large 51515
• Max flow rates 7-9 gpm, just like the large 51515
• Same micron rating for both.
• But no data on the pressure drop with a given flow rate

The applications for this shorty filter are all for much smaller engines, overseas trucks with smaller diesels, and tractors. So looks like it gets used for lower oil flow applications than a revving SBM or BBM.

I put remote filter mounts on just about everything... more oil in the system, oil cooling takes place, always a big filter can be used, etc. Make sure the lines and adapters are a full 1/2" ID all along the way and shield the lines from exhaust heat.

FWIW... I don't see oil pressure delays.. but I keep the remote filter down low.... that might make a difference.
