What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?
This week I did this to my 65 'cuda with the Commando 273 exhaust with the factory Exposed Resonator... as I got tired of the Cheap China made muffler Hangers not lasting... I fabricated this with Junk I had laying around in my Car Stuff Shed...
A Stainless Steel Band Clamp and a rubber part I got off a Jeep... or maybe one of my Rams a few years ago ( I throw nothing out if it looks usable ) and some shoulder bolts I slightly re-machined... This should last... and it better as I'm too damn old !!! (Closing in on 75 years) Sigh~
On the Bottom pic of the (Real Factory)
Resonator, I used a piece of rubber I cut from a Radiator Hose... letting the curved rubber work in favor of how it must bend to hang the Resonator !!! If that makes sense ???
All this took a while... I move slowly now days... but after I was done, it looked Good and felt Very Strong... I don't think it's going anywhere now...
