I would think what you need to mimic the LS cam and crank sensor and tuning it isn't going to be much cheaper than going with a stand-alone. I saw the MS3 Gold Box for $850.

Well so far with the LS computer/ Harness I am only into it for $150. My friend said he would tune it fir me pretty cheap. The crank and cam sensor I am going to use it $320 for them both. The crank sensor is a GM sensor and the tone wheel is made to be used with the factory mopar crank pully. The cam sensor is a jeep 4.0 and a adapter to mount it wear the factory Dist goes. But I do like the megasquirt set up a lot.
