Hello everyone, I'm trying to find a solution to me being cheap... lol I bought Painless's 21 ciruict gm universal harness (pretty sure their part number is just 10101). So I have a gm universal harness and I'm trying to mate it up with the factory style mopar ignition switch... if anyone has done this I'd love to hear how they did it and made the neutral safety switch work with a four speed manual trans. Thank you for your time I hope you all have a good day

The thing is, even the "other" universal harnesses are not "Mopar compliant". I believe painless ships them, example, with GM turn signal connectors, and a mating shell. You are suppposed to whack off your Mopar TS connector on the switch side, and add the GM style connector so it will mate. I've never heard of anyone being able to source parts for that original column ignition switch connector, so you might as well "go GM"

I've been searching to continue with the gm route but the closest I've got was America autowires part number 500257. I called America autowire to see if they had the receiving end of that terminal but the tech guy on the phone said this style ignition switch is 70's to 80s and it just clicks into the steering column. A Male terminal end doesn't exist's. He gave me a number for I believe the company m & h but don't have the mopar version for sale he said maybe year one might carry it

Some M&H products are only available thru Year One.

My E Z kit was GM too , I changed everything over to my orig mopar ends , sockets and signal light/column plug ins . Just clean up or replace the dirty/bad mopar stuff to start with.
The pins will come out of the lower column plug for refitment , to keep it all mopar ------------- I did have to replace one rear tail light socket , but they can be found .
