Pitfalls and Perspectives of "Hiring" a 27 year-old Young Lady

Just returned yesterday after a couple weeks in California. The good news is that we arrived back safe and sound after a family reunion of kinds in the Bay Area. And everything was in order here in Mexico: dogs healthy and happy, plants green, yard cleaned, classic cars and tools intact. The girl we hired (who is selling her old red 2004 Peugeot) drove her newly purchased red Suziki Swift over here for the first time today when dropping off the keys and picking up her final payment for services rendered.

The bad news is we missed one connecting flight on the way out, which set me back a good thousand dollars. I won't be able to purchase the girl's Peugeot like I had been seriously considering. I need another vehicle like I need another hole in the head, must be for the best (sour grapes?).

A box with some classic car parts was opened by TSA on the trip back. I also had to pay 16% Mexican import tax on the $500.00 worth of small parts inside the box. Nothing went missing or damaged anyway.
