At one time I probably had 50 of these (this is my last one).
I got these in the early 70's from my grandfathers work open house.

I'm not sure if they are just earlier or regional but you almost never see them labeled Union.

The ones with “Union 76” are the early ones from 1962 (when the ball was first introduced) until the late 70s/early 80s when the word Union was progressively dropped and completely gone by 2000.
 
Did we know each other in ag? I had the petty blue dart. Also a Plymouth scamp.
Not sure, back then I lived in Santa Maria by Jerry Bender and he took me to Steve's a couple times. I have a 440 in my R/T now that Steve built. It has a stamp ES from his shop on block. We took it out of teacher Bobs `Cuda way back that my friend Preston owns now. Jerry Benders old car. That thing was fast on hwy 1 back roads.
