Stop in for a cup of coffee
Does having a heavy bag hanging or doing something aerobic help by increasing endorphins or such?
No, it is a fight or flight syndrome. Once the adrenaline starts, it it all on its own.
Mental control to avoid reaction to situations is all I can do beyond the medication.
Back in Memphis when I was being chased by a tornado while driving home, the adrenaline surge became so pronounced that I had a severe metal taste in my mouth that took 12 hours to subside. That symptom is common and a direct result of the adrenaline overload.
It is a basic biological response, but my body produces far more adrenaline in response than is normal. If I get a surge like that, it takes 2-3 days to recover from the stress load it put on my body.
My Cardiologist is concerned that it could kill me in an extreme episode and is trying hard to help me control it...but the condition is rare and little is known about it.
All I can do is try from within to keep it at bay.
