Sacramento County ban on home “major auto repair”

If you break an ordnance, (like if you break a law) the governing body can fine or arrest you just like any other law.

Being here in my "hood" an ordnance is a law.
Code enforcement went after some tenants, a couple of houses down from me, that were parking, storing, going in and out, with a large commercial, industrial, truck, that tree trimming company's use.
Against code, "laws" not having business, commercial vehicles, stored, parked, in a residential neighborhood.
They thought they could get away with it, and kept it around, until the fine got their attention.
So no, you really can't do what you want to, just because your home, property, is your "castle" so to speak.
You can't grow marijuana in your home, in the majority of the states, sell crack cocaine, sell a firearm, in your home, in lot's of states without going thru an FFL, so you can be breaking the law(s) thinking you can do what you want, because it's Your home.
