ground the radio chassis and provide 12V to the power lead. The other lead is possible the dash light circuit. It may not have a ground lead. Make sure you ground the antenna mount point. I dont think an internal AM antenna will give you good results. Use a VOM to determine what leads are grounded to chassis for ground lead if it has multiple wires in the harness. Early radios had 3 leads: power, dash light and speaker positive (maybe a neg speaker lead too) . They used the chassis as ground.
