Mentioned in the pickem thread that it was a vicious hit when it happened. Collapsed the A piller and roof line right into his drivers area.

Hope he pulls through this whatever the injuries.

Nascar loves the bumping and stuff, but that blocking stuff has done a bunch of damage to many cars and drivers over the years... some fatal.

It’s one thing to play bumper cars at 65-70 mph at Martinsville and another to do it at speeds in excess of 200 mph on the high banks of Daytona. That said, Daytona has claimed more lives than any other track, going all the way back, it’s nothing new. And if anything good can come of this, it’ll force NASCAR to re-examine safety again
