How many of you ever went to a real Discotech ?
It was a sureal experience.

Oh man, what a decade.....Grew up in NY but due to my relentless Hell Raising I was encouraged by the State prosecutors to seek alternative surroundings ...Left for So.Cal in 78'.

Hardly an A-Lister I never made it to Studio 54, but did manage my way into both CBGB's and the Bottom Line.

Don't ask me how I got home....Lol......Think I followed the White Line!

it was an awesome decade, all my buddies were in rock bands, I did roadie duties. opposite side of the same coin, just another way to meet chicks.

Man. that's awesome!

Of all the local bands, they mostly all fizzled out or ODed.

Except for this guy "Tommy Lafferty" a classmate and friend who's still Living the Dream!

I got married and got a haircut and got a real job, kids, I couldn't tell you where anyone ended up but none of them are living the dream, the one I know of that almost made it died in a car crash 20 years ago. :(

Yeah,
That's pretty much life....Since I left in 78' I've been back to NY once in 91' to bury my Dad (RIP DAD), everybody I rolled with that didn't get out was either Incarcerated, Strung Out or Dead....That state did me a huge favor by making me hit the bricks....Cleaned up my act shortly after landing in So.Cal and developing new friends who were Clean Cut Drag Racers.
Then it was Kids...Wife and becoming a Responsible member of Society!

You know, it's a shame if that's the only song ever gets attention.
Others are just as good if not better.

Yep, they had a bunch of great ones. That just happens to be most likely their most recognizable. I wore out several Steppenwolf 8 tracks.
