The tiny brass things on the ends of these cable are called ferrules like those for tubing. They are no fun to remove from the controller, etc... There were 2 different sizes of them used on ends behind the mirror glasses also. Cables need to be in correct positions on the controller. Cables are color marked/coded but its weak (ink stain or something), hard to see.
