I have to agree with open it up and replace that stud, as solder may not stick to it anyway.
Besides heating the stud may very well melt the plastic it's mounted in.
You'll never get a die on it installed anyway, and even if you did you risk twisting it in the housing and causing a short inside.
You might get to it easily under that rear cover.
