AMD discontinuing Mopar parts

I wonder what they're reasoning is behind this?
Sure, I could see some things that weren't moving very fast being discontinued, but that is a lot of items.
I thought that the first items to go would be full quarters and not skins.
So basically, if you have a '67 to '69 Barracuda, you are S.O.L. for most exterior body panels.
And that goes for a lot of Mopars, there is not a very wide selection anymore.

People will now hoard the discontinued items and make a lot of money on the markup because they will be deemed to be in the same category as "Modern N.O.S.'' reproductions.
I wonder what AMD is going to do with the tooling?

This will mean a few things to the hobby:
-The project cars will plummet in price.
-More original parts will increase in price.
-Interest in the Mopar hobby will decrease significantly.
-People will gravitate to more mainstream cars like Chevy or Ford, because they can get parts for them.

Suddenly, It's back to 1995..........
