Small block 833 Lakewood Scattershield and Block Plate

Is this set up a direct replacement for the OE housing and special shims or adapter rings needed.
The seller is correct but you have to make sure the bell is perfectly centered for the transmission to be perfectly aligned to avoid vibrations. Even a stock bell that did not come with the engine/trans set up should be checked and adjusted. Off set downs are used to correct alignment. There is an adapter ring for the small bearing retainer. It is not truly needed. Helpful, not truly needed.

Lakewood has instructions that can be downloaded and followed. To type out the instructions is lengthy or really easy to speak about but the actual work takes time and it can be tedious to summer. It’s actually not difficult, just time consuming. Accuracy is everything. That’s what makes the job a pain in the ***. Otherwise, it’s really not hard to do.

In my opinion, this is an excellent set up at a good price.
