I can only say the cars symptoms that you are reporting. I don't know exactly how to "achieve" it on a Demon, means I've never worked on one. I would really just think Edelbrock when it comes to the primaries. I see no difference what's so ever in the primary circuit and not much in the secondary circuit either. The Edelbrock has a weighted rear door and the Street Demon has a spring-loaded one that's adjustable but that's about the only difference..
It seemed a little Rich when I first ran it and I want to go back to trying the Green Springs again and keeping those metering rods out of the Jets along with moving the pump squirt up to the top notch..
