What motor mounts do I need for Magnum 360 in to 72 dart?
Those biscuit mounts are good for isolating vibration, but can be torn pretty easy from the driver's side of the engine lifting. I did have to shim them on both cars to get the motor positioned correctly so my TTI headers would not be hitting stuff. I also added the torque tube from Schumacher on my '68 A-Body /6 to Magnum swap, but I believe they are in the middle of a reorg or something. Their poly mounts transmitted way to much vibration into the dash etc, so I switched to the stock rubber mounts plus the torque tube.
I used a piece of hardened chain and a couple grade 8 bolts on my RB powered E-Body along with a set of mitymounts to control the engine lift. I also use a non-solid transmission mount on both cars. It's a stick car with nearly 700 ft lbs of torque, so its even harder on the mounts.
So far, I haven't broken another motor mount since.
