First start up.. Does the dash need to be hooked up?

So I stabbed a new 318 in my 74 Duster and got it all hooked up, but it doesn't crank or fire. It does turn over by jumping the solenoid. Neutral safety switch is hooked up.

Does the entire dash gauges need to be hooked up to get it to start? I'm thinking only the ammeter?

thoughts? Any threads that will walk you through this?

door buzzer?

You don't need a dash to drive the car, you just need all the wires hooked up correctly. I don't have a dash in my Duster and I drive it all the time. I removed the entire wiring harness as well as the factory dash. I just have a digital display and a head light switch.
