Testing for spark - you might need a helper. Remove a spark plug wire from the spark plug. Slide back the boot so the terminal can be seen. Set the wire on the exhaust manifold so there is a gap to the exposed terminal, about 1/4' to 1/2". Insert the key and crank, or turn the key to ON and jumper the start relay and see if there is a spark at the plug wire end.
