New 408 build finally started
Well I got 3 roughed in and found I was using the wrong burr for the job. I use a 6 inch shaft double cut burr for 85-90% of my porting work. I hate single cut burrs with a passion but I figured for this much hogging out I would use one. Big mistake. Like I said I hate them the way they jump around and dig in. I switched to the burr in the picture that I rairly use and I could easily rough in one head in 4-5 hours. My hands feel so much better using a double cut burr and I don’t mind the constant dipping in my WD40, transmission fluid mixture.
