Rebuilding the front end on my 65 Dart and noticed that the strut rods have a slight bend in them where they bolt on to the lower control arm. They both have this bend so is this normal?

Its pretty common but should not be bent. Its actually kinda tough to find good straight originals. Spend some cash on a set of aftermarket ones.

Both of my strut rods were bent also.Almost identical bends on both sides.I have since replaced them with qa1 adjustables but always wondered how they got bent the same on both sides.

An old Tow truck sling before the wheel lifts. Or a it was hauled on a Rollback and was improperly tied down. The strut rod was perfect to put the hook over for many tow operators.

Two post hoist. Them big rods look like a good place to lift a car, but really they aren’t.
Have seen lots of damage from improper hoisting of cars.

ok, thanks. I may just try to straighten them. I'm trying to get the car back on the road and the li$t keeps growing.
