Any of you that have a 67 -69 barracuda fastback & have it mini tubed what did you do about the large metal interior piece beside the wheel wells ? It would be nice once that you have moved the inner wheel well over to the frame to still be able to use that interior piece.

?? Good Question, not me all stock!

Most just cut out the shape of the wheel house in them and use some edge guard

look up mini tubbed fastback pics on here from April 2011, a guy named Donnie Lawson has some posted pics

Ok thanks guys I would hate to cut that interior panel because they are probably hard to come by

I made new ones out of the same 12 ga. I made the tubs from. Welded them in, it keeps the inner panel from oil canning

I am thinking of running a 17x 8 17x 8.5 rim on the rear. Ill have to see maybe I wont have to fully mini tub it. I kind of like the wheel & tire to be tucked under.

I'm running 275/40/18 on a 18x9 rim with only a offset shackle kit and rolled fender lip. I have about 3/8" between the back of the tire and the spring pack and about 5/8" between the face of the tire and the body. With the short/stiff sidewall its plenty of clearance

Rearend is out of the car right now, I'll try and get it back in in the next couple of days for some more detailed pictures of the tire location in the wheel well. Here's some pictures of when I moved it from the old house to the new house. In these pictures there is no motor or drivetrain in it.
