Anyone ever made a replica of their own car?

I seen this thread yesterday and looked on eBay for a 73 Duster... I found a model bumper for sale for twenty-five bucks and gave up instantly LOL....

Look for a 74.

They are much more common and the only difference is the license plate.

Still not cheap, though.

got pics of the car Dave built for me. Thanks Dave!

not looking for another full size one but if one found me...

Here's a sample version of my 1965 Plymouth barracuda fastback gasser. Package was originally a stock barracuda made by auto world that was modified by a fellow mopar/ A-body friend for my 50th birthday

This is the only half-way decent pic I can find of an old build-my first Duster, 1/25 AMT. The real one was a '70, 318/4 speed. The model still exists, buried in storage. The grill is a resin replacement as the kit comes with a shark tooth grill.

Here's my on again-off again build of my current '72 Duster. The 1/25 MPC kit is the only '72 done in styrene and gets an arm and/or a leg on ebay, but I found a donor shell with a crushed top. I cut the trunk and tail light panel out of the shell and grafted it into the AMT '71 shell:

Should really get back to this build. Some clean-up and the only other mod I need to do to the kit is side marker lights.

I’m working on it. There’s only one 1/64 Dart Sport casting in the world as far as I know and it’s a pretty low quality sculpt of a ‘75...but it’s the best I’ve got. I found a reasonable facsimile of my wheels and some old JL tires fit perfectly...View attachment 1715489496

Here did you find those wheels and rims?

I made one of my 68 Barracuda. But don’t have right rims for it.

I had the paint out to do the battery tray so I figured why not.
