Weight loss and perseverance

With about a week to go in the month, I got on the scale today and saw the number 241 lbs for the first time. It was 241.8, but still...a good sign that I can hit 241.0 by the end of the month.

Today is exactly 30 months from when I woke up one morning and decided to go down this path.

What a difference 30 months makes, and I see it every time I look in the mirror. The image below is one month before I started and just yesterday.

Comparison images like these continually re-inspire me to keep going!

Fat on the face makes you 'look' younger. Smoothes the wrinkles but not worth it of course.

When I got sepsis, I swelled up to 260 lbs. Doctors rarely joke around, but the doc referred to me as the Michelin man. Guess he can get away with that remark since he saved my life.

Then I dropped 60lbs quickly. I was 57 and looked about 72. I turned into an old man in a matter of weeks. People that visited me at the hospital would take a second look because they hardly recognized me.
