VIRUS HITTING CLOSE TO HOME

-
We are shopping for our neighbor behind us. She is 80+ and we are concerned for her. My wife is an angel.

It is very hard to find protein at the local grocery stores and she is working hard to get the items. We have a local meat market that most do not think about. They have been our savior! Had some Really good 8 oz sirloin steaks tonight with Wild Turkey whiskey Mixed with Sweet Rays BBQ sauce glaze. Weber grill and the meat market! Yumm!

Yea that is what ive been doing for my mom. She has lung issues as it is. She doesn't need to get this stuff

Here's the deal with comparisons to the flu-

mortality rate for flu- up to .1 %

mortality rate for Covid-19- up to 5%

That's a hell of a difference.

couple that with three times longer time to live on surfaces without a host and a three times longer incubation period.

That's what all the fuss is about.

You’ll have to prove 5% to me. I have yet to see any data supporting that.

Most populated coastal states are gonna have more cases, logically.
Now add the Asian populus/travel in/out just prior to crisis= more drastic situation.

Donald Trump used those figures in 2 days ago press conference.

Thank you, I’ll look in to that. My boy has been known to exaggerate

way over reacting to all of this 7.5 billion world population total deaths from corona 21,000 so do you really think this is a problem ?

Please read some history. The flu epidemic of 1918 killed more people than WWI did. It was in the millions DEAD

My wife and I are hunkered down at home. The only time we go out is to go on a daily walk with the weather permitting. She ordered our groceries from Kroger yesterday and they'll be ready to pick up on Saturday. Its a great service to use to stay out of the store.
Who I'm really worried about is my mother. She doesn't take it seriously and she's driving around going into pick up groceries every three days. Being 83 you'd think she would want to be more careful but no, and she won't listen to reason. Offered to get her food and prescriptions for her but wouldn't let me do it.
And she does out and then comes here cause she gets bored at home. Thanks mom!

I'm luckily off till next Friday so I dropped care pkg off at my sons and granddaughters place. I told them to stay put, that I would go out and get supplies. I didnt want them to risk going out. I'm taking it seriously and sanitized the **** outta the plastic bag and the care pkg that went in the plastic bag. No contact at all. Shot the **** for 20 minutes. Great visit but definitely strange.
Even if by miracle everyone is cured in a month. The financial devastation is worldwide. And will be felt for decades.

As Hospitals become overwhelmed with patients, everyday emergencies (heart attacks, etc.) that would normally be treated in the ER will become fatalities. They won't count in the COVID-19 death toll but make no mistake they are a result of it.

My wife is an RN and on the front lines. She's been a nurse for 33+years, and married to me for 31 of those years (Ya, I don't know how she puts up with me!). Typically she is as cool as a cucumber when we get scares of new bugs, potential pandemics etc. But I have never seen her this concerned or worried about not only her and her teammates' well being, but also that of the general population. Anybody that believes this is a joke, or "just a flu", or some political agenda may be in for a very rude awakening. This **** is for real and is not just gonna "go away". The sooner folks realize this, the sooner we can get ahead of it.

Be well folks, stay safe and use your heads.

It’s a problem mainly because of people like you thinking the way you do. Wise up man.

Coronavirus Task Force Doctor Did Not Meet Guidelines For Test, But Got One Anyway

I'm not sure of the figures, but listening to Doctor Birx regularly.
I understand that of those tested maybe 90 percent are turning out to be negative.
In other words, negative for the China virus and it's the flu.
To be clear, I'm not saying those tested "positive" are false.
Also we know many people are walking around, or in isolation that have no symptoms.
In fact, Dr. Fauci has said people from New York are leaving and going to other places.
But he "can't blame them".
(Thanks a lot, New York).:poke:
The government doesn't want everyone to be tested because there aren't enough test kits.
As the symptoms continue to "evolve"....now it's "pink eye".

Cases are rising in the southern hemisphere.
Indicating it is seasonal too.
It's a war.

Coronavirus Update (Live): 490,144 Cases and 22,154 Deaths from COVID-19 Virus Outbreak - Worldometer
Divide the dead into known cases. .044(roughly) so that is 4.4%
Not sure why our(Canadas) numbers arent there now? Currently 35 deaths with 3197 cases, so 1% approx.
**Italy's stopped keeping track**

That’s why the numbers are off. Literally there are millions walking around with this crap and don’t even know it. If you add those in, the mortality rate is no greater than any other flu.

We now believe my kid had this back in December. He won’t be counted in the numbers.

Of course, the doctors at the time had no idea what he had. I most likely would have gotten it had i (and my wife) not been on hydroxychloroquine for years.

Well only the tested are confirmed or not, so all we can do is use the numbers given to us.
Like I said non believer=covidiot.

LOL. Believing the media is idiotic. Bad data is bad data. Believing bad data is retarded.

In a month or so we will see what this was all about.

It the FLU.

I just got over the flu several weeks ago. Can’t remember ever being that sick. It was mostly respiratory. We have to take precautions since my wife has had puenmonia several time and is diabetic.

Yeah, I don't understand this reasoning. John Hopkins reporting 491000 confirmed and 22000 deaths. that's 4.5%. even if we assume another million or so not confirmed, would the ratio if deaths not be the same (unless the ones not confirmed are all mostly mild - and that not likely)
