All,
RB in a 69 dart. Looking at radiators on a budget. Naturally a 26" wide . Two questions,
Champion or ECP?
3 row or 2 -1" row ?
Thanks for the info !!

No advise ? I know a lot of people like cold case and griffin , but they are serious $. I know you get what you pay for, but can't you get a decent rad for <300$ ?

For what brand rad ?
Thanks

Sorry, my puter is jumping around and posting before I even get done typing . Griffin 28x19 crossflow w/ two rows of 1 1/4 tubes. Bought the shroud and reworked it , fro

m Summit also.
Its actually shorter/thinner than this now, I couldn`t get a regular oil filter on the 505 until I reworked it "again>"

Looks great. Nice job.

I have a couple of the ECP radiators. Very nice radiator for the price. Takes some modification to mount it, at least it did on both of my cars.

Biggest two core you can fit. I used the ECP and like it, but it’s not direct fit.

Haven’t used a Cold Case but I have seen them and had my hands on them and they are very nice too. They are a sponsor here on FABO and offer discounts so look into that to save some bucks maybe.

Dont forget about a high flow water pump. I use the Milodon but the Flow Kooler is a great pump as well.

I pay the extra money for the Stewart Components thermostat. Worth every penny.

Also you need to make sure the water pump turns faster than the crank. You do that and you can cool the engine in the pits of hell.

I think the champion was around 260 when I was looking and the cold case is only a couple of cheeseburgers in price more than that. Well worth it to get the cold case in my opinion. Fitment is on point and fits the stock shroud.

I haven't driven it far enough to know how well it works but I've heard nothing but good things from those that have used it.

Because of all that is going on, Cold Case is running an 'online car show sale'. You get show pricing, free shipping and a rebate. Therefore the price for our custom made A-body Mopar units comes out about the same as the lesser models you are considering.

Since we have MAP pricing, we can not advertise the price. Just give us a call at 844-REAL COLD and tell the tech support guy you discussed a deal on the forum. I'm available to answer any questions via PM here as well.

Great advise. I do plan on doing all of that. Thanks !!

Turns out I went with American Eagle 2 core - 1 inch each core ( champion subsidiary ). Should be here Sunday / Monday. I will post a few pics and opinion.

I think the one I purchased was the same - AE 374 (I think). In the "mock up" stage so no real data as to efficiency but appears well made and fits well. A bit concerned about how well the electric fans are going to clear my big block but I'll cross that bridge soon enough. Hope it works well for you. <><

@yellow rose which 180 stat fits out mopars? few differen't models.. Stewart Components

Well that sucks buttermilk up a dogs butt. Looks like they don’t offer a 170 degree thermostat anymore. And the price went up. Damn. That blows. Hope mine never takes a dump.

You need the 304 (160) 305 (180) or the 306 (195). Unless you have a magnum. Them any of the 2.125 diameter thermostats will work, IIRC.

ok thanks.. i run a 180 in the dart. i have the flow kooler pump sitting here waiting to go on and figured i'd grab a stat too.

Both are prob close in price.

Yup. Same rad. I am also in the middle of the build. Gonna be awhile. Did you have to modify the bottom of the rad support ? I am concerned about the height.
Looks like a decent quality rad tho !
