Wood's '408' low-buck Magnum build!
Upon tear down I found some .005 chips out of the #8 and #6 bores, scratched and worn cam bearings, good news I turned 4 corners of the heads and did a visual inspection of the bore depth at TDC, looked .070 in the hole consistently no real deck level issues. That bastard piston came back to bite me, wiped the rod bearing.
Ordered the in-house balanced rotating assembly from CNC-motorsports, thanks DrEamer for piston recommendation.
$200 for gaskets, head bolts, cam degree wheel, filters etc.
Block is going to the machine shop in the AM. Looks like I'm in for a hot tank, freeze plugs, cam bushing install, .030 over bore, check the deck. $400
Looks like about 3 weeks on the block and 2 weeks plus shipping on the rotating assembly. I'll update when I get going.
