Hey guys,

I have just pulled my 340 out of the dart over the weekend. I am considering swapping it out for a stroked 360. I have a 904 transmission i just had rebuilt last year so want to use that for now.

What all do i require to make this swap happen on the motor mounting side and transmission side?

water pump outlet might face the wrong way. (possibly need a radiator) different motor mount on the drivers side (can be rigged with washers) 360 is externally balanced will need a B&M flexplate. (make sure your converter isn't weighted)

motor mount brackets should be the same for 340/360, 318/273 use diff driver side.
How is the 360 stroker balanced? if internally same flex plate will work, if externally you'll need a different flex plate.
Check your h2o pump as stated above.

This^^^^. Brackets are the same as 340. Flexplate/convertor depends on how your "stroked 360" was balanced, and rad as noted.

sure 340 pumps work unless you are working with a single belt backward rotating magnum
cute

True. Unless you run the engine backwards, just need new cam and a backwards trans.

I wonder if a trans would work if the torque converter was rotated backwards? If it would you could just flip the rear over and be on your way.
