I’m going to look at it in the next hour and want be sure. Looks to be a commando/4 speed car. Guy says 1500$. Looks straight to me. It’s got tach, bucket seats and wood grain wheel. Worth the price? Thanks

Hey Jake, hope all is good with you. I would take $1000 with you.
I would be a buyer on that wheel!
$1000 would get you your money back quicker than $1500 obviously. Not sure if you are parting or a project?
Good luck, be safe!
I think I recognize that car too from fabo maybe?

7 1/4" Very few 8 3/4's were installed. Most late in the year. The Commando broke a lot of small rears. But it might have something bigger in it. You never know

Its pretty much complete. Price seems fair, depending on rust.
Would have been a nice car in its better days.

The tack and control box alone is worth $500. That car is well worth the $1500 asking price. 65'

I’m going to check the vin, 31 and 2 are the codes I’ll be looking for. Thanks for all the info, I’ll check back in later today.

Jake

And it looks complete. Look for resonator cutout on rear valence. Still worth $1500 as rust free as it looks.

one here in Illinois with the commando and 4 gear restored just sold for $29,000.00...It was cherry! Haggerty and NADA put them around 24 to 29 k original restored. I don't see how you could go wrong...good luck hope you get it!

Well, I passed on it. No title and more of parts car. Missing tach, no pedals and to me kind of cobbled back together. Has sway bar, rusted out rear quarter. They just dropped the price so if anyone in Phoenix is interested have at it. Here is the fender tag.

that's a shame thanks for the post...you could have done well if the pictured parts were there
Yeah, I was really looking to complete a car not part it out. I know there are those guys out here in Phoenix, keep your eyes open for those parts. Thanks again for everyone’s help.

i always hate to see any old mopar get parted...especially one that is historically significant like that one...its too bad you couldn't have gotten there first and saved it...another one will probably bite the dust.

Still an "S" car. Has to be worth that if the engine and dress up goodies are there. And then I re read the post title. Still, for a grand, there's an S for someone who really wants one.

Roller, no engine or transmission.

Unfortunately, I think you guy's are right. It would have been a deal if all the pictured parts were there. Thx, for the update!
P.S. I saved this one! 65'

that's a beauty...I love that shade of blue...I had a chevy guy blowing a bunch of smoke about these cars just being a recycled turd valiant. He had a 60's something ss Camaro. I took him for a ride in the little performance package barracuda... when he got out of the car he had a puzzled look on his face and turned to me and said "that car rides better than mine" LOL...now we are friends!

Of course it does. Camaro's are really a POS of a car.

I paid $1750 for my '65 Formula S auto which had an open 489 case 8 3/4 rear end and a 318 with a hole in a piston. Had original valve covers, chrome air cleaner, AFB. Found some rust after sand blasting. Most everything was there except most of the A/C parts missing.

I am never going to get another project car, but I would make an exception for a 65 or 67 Notch S car.
