I got some bucket seats because the price was right (free) from a 1976 Sportsman motor home aka the front half of a tradesman van with a motor home box starting behind the front seats.
Were these seats used anywhere else? I want to know the possibility of recovering them and for how much $$. I cant find any online for the '76 motor home or similar year vans/trucks with these same seats
I flipped them around and didn't see any type of part# but maybe I didn't look in the right spots?
p.s. original seat mount is just a tiny bit too high so I have a fun "safer at home" project now

I've got a set in my 1968 2dr post, they're lighter than the a100 seats, and look cool,I'll post a photo tomorrow, made my own brackets, but the super stock would work,

What happened to the original seat?
original bench is sitting like 10 feet away... no bottom cushion and PO just put layers of foam in so pretty uncomfortable and my driving position was like 2-3 inches too low. Frame is in great condition though, still haven't decided if I want to get rid of it or save it for a future project

Ill be waiting for those pictures! How tall did you make your brackets?
Just had my seats out to weld in the floor support brackets,so here's some photos,3 1/8 at the front and 1 7/8 at the rear, used the stalk floor location divets to drill the holes in the floor,my mounts are savage, but it's all I had to work with,

Here's the floor braces and seats installed,

The seats look great!! How is the seating position? I haven't had a chance to test fit anything but I had just ballparked (in my head) that I was going to need seat brackets between like 4"-6" tall. I grew up driving vans and trucks so I feel more comfortable in a more upright position but I am going to let the car tell me where it wants me to sit

Well I started out with 4x2" square tubing,it was ok but a little to high, plus the backs aren't adjustable,so I needed to tilt them back to be comfortable, there is also factory shims between the tracks and seats, you can always remove them or add some for moor play,
Also my car is jacked up in the back like a very bad cartoon,so I tilted my seats back for that reason, they are also low only because I like sitting low,

oh ok that makes sense, yeah I was just going to start with some scrap pieces of metal I have lying around then adjust up or down from there. Plus it sounds like your car is much higher than mine, I have mine set up low and level. My headers scrape everywhere but the car looks cool haha

In a van you get into the back of the car through the side doors, what do you do in a car. if you use this seat. I guess for a race car, no real problem, but...

There so small youcan climb in between them,or when the seat is all the way forward, you can climb in,my labradors don't mind,

I have 4 doors so no issues there. Long term I do plan on updating them with something with more adjustment and support but these were free so they will sit in there for as long as they can last
