After two calls to Milodon tech services this week who assured me repeatedly that my parts were correct and it will all bolt up. I attacked the oil pan and windage tray today. Attached are the pix of my Milodon center pump debacle. What a poop show. Donor car was a 2010. The block is an 08 we think. Long story short the pickup tube will not bolt up with the windage tray in place. Que the zip wheel. First pix is the enlarged hole to facilitate the brace to bolt up pick up tube. Second pix is the stiffener rail that had to be relief cut to allow the pick up tube to nestle into place. I cut it just above the bend line to maintain structural integrity. Then washed it all up. Final pix are finished version. Then I attempted to manage two gaskets, one oil pan and a windage tray install with but two hands. I am a mere mortal and failed miserably, and after multiple failed attempts I chose to walk away and exercise some patience with regard to asking for help. Alternative involved a 45 and the ensuing repair! Like many on here asking for help is not my strongest character trait! Hah! The curse of always working alone. Nothing a cold beverage won’t cure. Once I get frustrated the tools start getting bigger and my default position is always my welding machine. I can here my Brother (RIP) yapping at me now “Step away from the welder Brother” I sure miss him!
