Anybody have a template for cutting a new carpet piece for an "A" body floor console from a 1970 Dart Swinger or similar console? I have the carpet but my console had the carpet removed when I bought the car and I know the console shape is irregular on the bottom and the carpet skirt is tricky to cut and get right. There is a new carpet piece on eBay (see pic below) for $32.00 bucks but I already have the material and that seems like a lot of coin for that little piece of "rug".

I agree the price seems steep but it helps to understand how that piece must be cut. If you were to buy, it flip it over and check the weave, you will find its cut on a bias from a piece of carpet approx' 3 feet wide and 6 feet long. This is so it will turn corners without puckering. A boomerang is the closest to its actual shape I can think of. anyway... Regardless how many can be cut side by side from a length of carpet, there has to be considerable amount of waste.
